When starting a slide show in PowerPoint or Keynote (for Mac), the default setting is that the presentation opens in full screen. If you have a second monitor attached, one screen will show the presentation, the other one your presenter view with your notes. The tips below apply when you are using one single monitor and mainly want to be able to share your presentation while still seeing the other participants.
If you want to use two screens or another device with your computer, check out the excellent YouTube video by Cat Mulvihill on https://youtu.be/BqsAwaZDyUo.
In PowerPoint you have to go into Set Up Show in order to change the settings for the slide show. Be aware that you might not be able to see your notes when presenting. If you have a mobile device or tablet you could still access your notes. In that case you could also share your screen from the mobile or tablet.

In Keynote all you have to do is go to Play - Play Slideshow in Window. This will open your presentation in a window instead of full screen. You can resize the window and still see the other participants on the Zoom meeting.
You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to the option via System preferences on your Mac.
Keynote - Play Slideshow in Window
Now when you click on Slide Show the presentation opens in a new window that you can resize.
In Zoom under Share Screen pick that particular window to share (see to the right here).
You can resize the presentation window by dragging the corners and fit it with the participants overview. See below.
